With The Nike Dunk Heading Towards A Major Milestone, Another “Panda” Style Appears
The Nike Dunk is beyond cooked; it’s burnt to a crisp. There still remains a following, but the hordes of Panda Dunk wearers have since gone on to the latest in mindless mainstream trends, whether it be the Samba or some type of On Running shoe. Still, Nike can’t let the 40th Anniversary of the Dunk go by unnoticed, so they’re leaning into the joke a bit and going full in full Panda mode.
Already revealed in several colorway options, the Nike Dunk Low “Panda” has surfaced once more bearing the cuddly animal’s face on the back-tab of the tongue and on the hanging tags. Unlike the glossy, crinkled nature of the other pairs, these Panda Dunks opt for a super-hairy grained suede exterior in a hot picante red and a fuchsia pink.
While it remains to be seen if the Dunk can ever re-capture its glory days, it’s important to remember that the Dunk, like the actual panda species, was endangered at one point once before. For now, it’ll have to ride the backburner for a bit, but not until after Nike drops these celebratory pairs. Stay tuned for release info, because these are due this Fall ’25 for $130.
