Nike's City Connect series reimagined baseball uniforms, moving beyond classic pinstripes and traditional colors to tell deeper stories about each team's hometown identity. This shoe collection completes that narrative, bringing the ethos from the diamond to the pavement.

"The City Connect program was always about more than what players wear on the field," said Nike Baseball Creative Director, Alex Hernandez. "It's about fan culture, street culture, and how a city's identity influences everything. The Air Max 270 was the perfect canvas for this because of its modern silhouette and bold air unit—it makes a statement, just like these uniforms."

FEATURED TEAMS AND DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

The initial pack features four flagship franchises with some of the most recognizable City Connect themes:

• Boston Red Sox

  The "Boston" Air Max 270 incorporates the distinctive yellow and blue from the "City Series" uniform, with "BOS" branding on the heel tab and a subtle cobblestone pattern on the midsole, a nod to the historic streets of Boston.

• Chicago White Sox

  Drawing from the divisive "South Side" uniform, this model embraces a sleek, all-black design with gradient detailing and "Chi-Town" script on the lateral side, embodying the neighborhood's gritty and stylish persona.

• Los Angeles Dodgers

  Inspired by the "Los Dodgers" jerseys, this shoe features a vibrant palette of blue, pink, and yellow. The language and cultural motifs of the city's LA32 community are celebrated through pattern work on the inner lining.

• Miami Marlins

  A direct reflection of the "Caliente" uniform's energy, this pair uses a fiery red base with blue and pink accents. The design mimics the art deco flair of Miami and includes a faux-debossed "305" area code on the air unit.
