With a quarter of the season behind us, the 2025 MLB campaign is in full swing. It's too early to see who the true contenders for the World Series as well as end-of-season awards are, but at this juncture we can crown Nike as true innovators of the on-field jersey movement in the 21st century.
The latest manifestation of this innovative spirit comes in the form of the Air Max 270 MLB City Connect Pack, which launched today to coincide with the league's most exciting matchups this weekend.
The Perfect Fusion of Baseball Heritage and Street Style
Featuring color schemes from each MLB team's popular City Connect uniforms, the collection includes 10 initial colorways, with eight more set to drop ahead of the All-Star break in July. Limited-edition packaging includes team-specific illustrations inspired by each city's baseball culture.
Key Features:
- 270-degree Air unit for responsive cushioning
- Engineered mesh upper with breathability zones
- Team-embroidered logos on heel tabs
- Icon to reflect each city's unique baseball history translated to streetwear
"As MLB continues to evolve both in terms of gameplay narratives and how fans engage with the sport through fashion, this collection represents where America's pastime meets modern sneaker culture," said Nike Baseball creative director Marcus Rivera.
The collaboration follows hot on the heels of the success of the Jordan Brand × MLB Cleat Series
