With a quarter of the season behind us, the 2025 MLB campaign is in full swing. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and now - a revolutionary sneaker collection that blurs the lines between diamond performance and urban style.
It's too early to see who the true contenders for the World Series as well as end-of-season awards are, but at this juncture we can crown Nike as true innovators of the on-field jersey movement in the 21st century. Their latest creation - the Air Max 270 MLB City Connect Pack
The Design Story
Each pair in the collection takes inspiration from MLB's popular City Connect series, translating the unique colorways and design elements from jerseys to sneakers. The Los Angeles Dodgers' "La Paleta" motif appears in vibrant sherbet hues, while the Boston Red Sox version incorporates the yellow-and-blue "Boston Marathon" palette that famously appears on their alternate uniforms.
Technology Meets Tradition
The 270 silhouette, known for its largest Air unit in Nike history, provides all-day comfort with a lifestyle aesthetic. Team logos appear subtly on the tongue and heel tabs, while custom insoles feature season-specific graphics commemorating the 2025 campaign.

"This is more than a sneaker - it's a wearable love letter to baseball's cultural impact in urban spaces," said Nike Baseball creative director Mark Parker Jr.
