With a quarter of the season behind us, the 2025 MLB campaign is in full swing. It's too early to see who the true contenders for the World Series as well as end-of-season awards are, but at this juncture we can crown Nike as true innovators of the on-field jersey movement in the 21st century.
The sportswear giant has again raised the bar with their latest release - the Nike Air Max 270 MLB City Connect Pack. This limited edition collection celebrates eight MLB franchises through colorways inspired by each team's unique City Connect uniforms.

Available starting today, the pack features:
- Chicago White Sox - "Southside" black and gray gradient
- Boston Red Sox - "433" yellow with blue accents
- Los Angeles Dodgers - "Pasa El Tiempo" blue and white
- Miami Marlins - "Calle Ocho" vibrant tropical colors
- San Diego Padres - "Brown Is Back" logo detailing
- Houston Astros - "Space City" galactic navy tones
- Washington Nationals - "The District" patriotic styling
- San Francisco Giants - "OG Shows" golden gate motif
Each design incorporates team-specific details including Jersey number fonts, authentic fabric patterns from the uniforms, and hidden Easter eggs that true fans will appreciate. The Air Max 270's signature heel air unit gets a team-colored tint to complete the thematic look.
Nike's VP of MLB Footwear, Javier Cortez, told us: "This collection bridges the energy of baseball stadiums with streetwear culture. W each pair, you're not just wearing sneakers - you're telling your team's hometown story."
The City Connect Pack retails for $160 per pair and is available exclusively through Nike SNKRS app and select MLB team stores. Given the initial reactions on social media, we anticipate these will sell out quickly, so interested collectors should act fast.
